Wine tasting under the starry skies of Hana, Maui.
That’s what this two-day tasting weekend at the new Travaasa Hana this month entails.
The destination resort, which opened in June, is partnering with the respected California-based Turley Wine Cellars to offer a two-day tasting at the quaint, unspoiled town on Maui’s rugged eastern coastline.
Larry Turley will share his story and passion for wine — while offering samples of his top vintages — at a five-course wine-pairing dinner at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19. Cost is $85 per person and includes the culinary creations of Travaasa Hana’s executive chef Barry Villarimo.
The following day, the winery will present some of its unique releases during a tapas tasting starting at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $40 per person.
(Really, it’s a great excuse just to visit Hana.)
Reservations are required for both events. And space is limited. Call (808) 248-8211.
