Rimmel and Kate Moss Collaborate on Lasting Finish Lipstick Collection

Kate Moss and London make-up brand Rimmel have decided to collaborate on the creation of the supermodel’s first  lipstick range exclusively for Rimmel. Kate’s love of Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick goes back a long way. The supermodel once confided that its famous Heather Shimmer shade was the first lipstick she ever bought. With her debut foray into makeup, she gives Rimmel’s cult classic a sensational twist infusing it with her own inimitable touch of fashion and effortless sense of glamour.

The formula is now infused with the unique Black Diamond boasting extraordinary light-reflecting properties and adding depth and intensity to every shade. “My inspiration for this range was really to create a range of easy to wear, classic shades that I have always worn and loved. From bright reds, to soft pinks and nudes, there is a shade for everyone and any occasion. It was also really important for me that they were also comfortable to wear. Whatever your outfit there is sure to be a shade to match!”

For the Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick collection, Kate worked closely with Rimmel to design a chic matte black pack to represent her glamorous rock’n’roll style. Kate’s iconic pack is personalised with her signature in an eye catching stand-out red color providing it with edge and elegance.

The collection is comprised of 15 shades exclusively for the Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick collection. Four stars in particular embody Kate’s own style: The shade no. 1 is her number one red – the ultimate colour for a night out (and which she models in the Rimmel ad). Shade no. 2 is her favourite pink which is perfect for going from daytime chic to a night out with the girls. Her basic nude is the no. 3 and her no. 4 is the fail safe shade for any occasion. All shades are intense and creamy, with one notable exception number 15, a super- pearly mauve-tinged grey which can be worn on its own as a fashion statement or over another shade to give it a new dimension – much as Kate herself might throw on a leather jacket over an evening dress.

Kate Moss also provided inspiration for the rest of the Rimmel Winter 2011 Collection which comes in a collectible capsule for eyes and nails. The Union Jack Eyeshadow palette spotlights the daring metallic shadows Kate wears so well such as Black Cab (001), a stunning grey-to-black monochrome for the ultimate smoky-eyed look.
