A year ago, the Al-Thani royal family of Qatar, had ordered for a special edition of the Koenigsegg CCXR racing car in the Turquoise blue color, a particular favorite of Prince Abdul Rehman Naseer Abdulla al-Thani (who has a penchant for sports cars.) That very car is now up for sale with a price tag of €825,000 ($1.09 million), and a total distance of 3000 km covered on the vehicle. It seems the Prince lost interest.
The specialty of the edition remains the blue coloring of the vehicle, which is rather symbolic of the Al-Thani royal family of Qatar. Apart from the exterior paintjob, the car had complete leather interiors done up in the blue shade, with black underlining on special order of the prince. The other mentionable features of the vehicle included the 1,017 HP Gasoline engines which generated 768 Kw of power output, other than features like Anti-lock Breaking System (ABS), Electrical windows, vehicle immobilizer, and navigation system.

One of London’s best loved landmarks has been returned to Leicester Square, reviving a sight and sound that has given pleasure to million of Londoners.
The Glockenspiel that rang out from the corner of the Swiss Centre was gifted in 1985 by the people of the Swiss Confederation and of the Principality of Liechtenstein to the City of Westminster on the occasion of its 400th anniversary. It has now returned as a redesigned free-standing unit and Haute Living London was there to see the clock formally inaugurated yesterday.
The rebuilt Glockenspiel features a procession of 11 moving Swiss figures against a traditional Swiss alpine backdrop, the coat of arms of the 26 Swiss cantons, 27 bells and 4 Swiss Jacomas representing bell ringers. Sliding shutters protect the figure from rain, and there is a Swiss Federal Railway clock at the top of the structure. The Swiss Railway Clock, which was designed in 1944, has become a famous design icon, and the clock above the Glockenspiel has two faces on an east-west axis, one side facing Piccadilly Circus and the other Leicester Square.
The bells will chime and a five minute performance takes place five times a day Monday-Friday (at 12 noon, 5-8pm) and eight times a day at the weekend (12 noon and hourly between 2-8pm).

Prior to becoming a couturier, Christian Dior was actually a gallerist in Paris, making this first-time collaboration between Berlin-based artist Anselm Reyle and the House of Dior a rich one, joining the art world and vision of Dior Deputy General Manager, Delphine Arnault. With the freedom to create a collection of accessories for Dior, Reyle played with colors and bold, freestyle interpretations. “I loved working on the Lady Dior handbag. Most of my work builds on objects that already exist, which I then transform. I applied the same philosophy,” said Reyle. As for the characteristic Lady Dior Charms, they are accompanied by colored triangles, the artist’s graphic signature. With contrasting topstitching against bright metallics, this collection is as lively and exciting as the pop-up store that will debut in Miami Nov 28th – Dec 10th at the Miami Design District and will be sold in select Dior stores globally beginning on January 7 through the end of March. Miami Design District, 191 NE 40th Street, Unit 101, (800) 929-DIOR.

The Spice Box Bee’s Knees is just one of the drinks you can swill when RM Seafood celebrates Repeal Day.
We love an excuse to drink vintage cocktails, and this Monday, Rick Moonen rolls out drinks from the Prohibition era to celebrate the 78th anniversary of Repeal Day. RM Seafood at Mandalay Bay is holding a happy hour bash from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday with guests in period costumes, small plates and cocktails reminiscent of the era.
RM Seafood’s lead bartender JR Starkus is creating vintage drink specials such as Bee’s Knees featuring Spicebox Whiskey and a Plymouth Gin Punch. The restaurant will also offer a variety of small plates inspired by the speakeasy era, ranging from $3 to $5. Show up in period attire and nab $5 vintage cocktail specials; and wiseguys (and gals) in-the-know who learn the secret password from RM Seafood’s Facebook and Twitter pages will receive their first cocktail for only $1, just like a true speakeasy.
The menu includes cold oysters with caviar, crème fraiche and chives, hot oyster’s Rockefeller, smoked salmon and cucumber tea sandwiches, deviled eggs, ricotta meatballs and mixed nuts.
In the meantime, you can prep for the night with a vintage cocktail from Starkus’ menu.

Usually the top 5 looks of the week can be found on the red carpet, but this week I am happy to report that no glam squad was necessary! These ladies manage to look just as lovely, if not more so, in their everyday lives as they do at an event. Enjoy!
It takes a fashion-forward lady to pull off the captain hat, and if there’s anyone who fits that bill it’s the lovely Kate Moss! The supermodel wore hers as the finishing touch to this all black ensemble which included a leather jacket, scarf, faded jeans, and motorcycle booties.
Supermodel Miranda Kerr looked everyday-chic on the streets of New York City while walking to a friend’s house. Stripes and leather are a perfect go-to look, and I love how she paired them with trendy olive green jeans. Miranda was right to accessorize with contrasting brown tote, and perfectly finished off the look with Ray-Ban wayfarers and heeled motorcycle booties. This look is super on trend, but comfy and functional too!
Taylor Swift stepped out in NYC this week looking chic and girly as she strolled about town! She rocked the color-blocking look with this cable knit navy sweater and a feminine high-waisted yellow skirt, paired alongside burgundy loafers, an electric blue handbag, and vibrant red lips to finish off the ensemble. We love how this look is colorful and mature, yet still fresh and age-appropriate for this 21-year-old songstress.
Fergie sported this orange blazer while catching a flight and perfectly demonstrates how to pull off such a bright color: by pairing it with neutrals. Too many brights in the same outfit can definitely be overload! The singer kept it simple by adding in a neutral-palette floral top, white jeans, a nude tote and strappy sandals and of course, the celeb airport must-have, aviator sunglasses.
Brazilian Model Ana Araujo looked funky and current sporting the popular menswear trend while off-duty on the streets of London this week. The British beauty works this style wearing a cropped and tailored tuxedo blazer with an oversized boyfriend button-up blouse, black editor trousers, and classic black booties. I love how this look is edgy and current, yet still chic and comfortable!
