Kutsher’s Brings Modern Jewish Cuisine to Tribeca

After 100 years of success in the Catskills, Kutsher’s has made a new home in Tribeca. The modern Jewish bistro is being run by Zach Kutsher, a fourth generation member of the Kutsher family, along with his partners Alan Wilzig, Richard Kirshenbaum and Jeffrey Chodorow.

The menu features classics like matzo ball soup and borscht salad, as well as re-imagined favorites like pickled herring two ways (pickled onions and cream, and wasabi, yuzu and pepper). There’s also a charcuterie selection of cured salmon, flat and deckle pastrami, smoked veal tongue, spicy salami, duck pastrami, and chopped liver.

With its modern design, bright blue booths and eye-catching lighting, Kutsher’s popularity should translate to the big city just fine. It’s now open for dinner and will eventually be open for lunch and brunch.
