Haute 100 Update: Wolfgang Puck and Guess Host Private Charity Dinner

Fashion label Guess, Marie Claire, and renowned chef Wolfgang Puck hosted a private party in support of Save the Children’s humanitarian efforts in East Africa. The intimate gathering was held at Guess’s Beverly Hills boutique and was personally catered by the famed Austrian chef himself.
Celebrities and notable names gathered last week for the dinner party, which was held to celebrate the launch of Guess’s new “One Love Charity Bracelet.” $20 of every sale of the beaded cord accessory, which was designed by Guess CEO Paul Marciano’s 17-year-old daughter, Ella, will be donated to Save the Children. The donated funds will directly aid youths affected by the devastating drought and subsequent famine in East Africa.
Chef Puck was there to both prepare an exquisite meal for the guests and show support for a matter that he feels a personal connection to.
“When I was a little boy in Austria, we didn’t have very much,” the legendary chef revealed. “I remember the first time I was served corn flakes, I thought it was the most amazing tasting thing! I will never forget that memory and the way it made me feel. We should do the same for these children and provide them with food, water, and anything else they need to live a better life. They will never forget it.”
