Haute 100 Update: Technical School to Change its Name to Steve Jobs

He may no longer be with us, but Apple founder Steve Jobs continues to live on through his admirers. Students enrolled at a technical school in Plovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria, want to honor the tech great by changing the name of their school to “Steve Jobs.”

The school is currently named Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, but the students are ready to pay homage to the late tech visionary instead. The institution specializes in electronics and its students see the school’s upcoming 50th anniversary  as the perfect opportunity to make the name switch.

The students are currently voting on the new name for the school, with Steve Jobs winning by a wide margin. Additional choices in the running to include famous Bulgarian scientists and other great minds.
