Haute 100 Update: Ralph Lauren Creates Ultra-Exclusive Bag for Breast Cancer Auction

The second exclusive auction to benefit Friends of Cancer Patients’ (FOCP) Pink Caravan Initiative was recently held at the Ralph Lauren store in the opulent Dubai Mall. Likewise for the inaugural event, design legend Ralph Lauren created a limited edition Pink Pony Ricky Bag to be auctioned off at the event, with 100% of the proceeds begin donated directly to FOCP.

The luxurious bag was a rendition of Ralph Lauren’s signature Ricky Bag and was hand-crafted in Italy from exquisite burnished calfskin leather, which was hand-selected and specially tanned. The exclusive, lustworthy accessory features pink drill lining and a removable pink belt designed especially for the Pink Pony Breast Cancer line – all topped off with a proprietor plate signifying it as number 25 of only 56 worldwide.

In addition to the funds generated by the auction, 10% of all Ralph Lauren Pink Pony products sold through April 2012 will be donated to FOCP, a partnership that aims to reduce disparities in cancer care in medically underserved communities.

“The FOCP has been fortunate to receive unconditional and unwavering royal support. In addition, the assistance from Ralph Lauren has been exceptional,” said Ameera Bin Karam, president and founding member of FOCP. “This level of encouragement is what motivates us to continue this campaign in an effort to raise awareness and save lives.”
