Grand Central Apple Store Moves Closer to Opening

Everything Apple related is highly-anticipated, but the opening of an Apple store in Grand Central station has everyone on the edge of their seats. Expected to be the largest retail space in Grand Central, the Apple store is inching closer to its opening date.
While many believed the Grand Central Apple Store may be opening on Black Friday, there appears to have been some miscommunication somewhere along the road because it appears as Black Friday kicks off, the Apple store remains closed.
A new possible opening date has emerged though, and some are saying that it will open on Friday December 9, but perhaps it’s best not to plan your shopping trip quite yet because Apple representatives are saying, “No opening date has been announced.”
Apple has, however, just released a new photo of the store display announcing that the shop will be “arriving soon”. Regardless of when it opens, once complete it will officially be Grand Central’s largest retail space and the biggest Apple store in the world – 23,000 feet. It will be located into the old Metrazur space above Grand Central Terminal and Apple has confirmed that it will not be enclosed in glass and it will not feature lots of signage beyond one glowing logo. An elevator will be installed to make it handicap accessible. The stores tables will reportedly be set back from the railings so that tourists can still stop and watch all the hustle and bustle below.
