DesignLove Auction to Benefit Cancer Research

Notable design company Luminaire is using its name and influence, once again, to help in the battle against cancer. Founders and owners of this design haven, Nasir and Nargis Kassamali, are big on the philanthropy scene. Since 2006, the Luminaire Love Series has been helping raise both money and awareness in the name of cancer research. This year’s event, which coincides with Art Basel Miami, is going to be even bigger and better than ever.
This year’s Love Series – DesignLove – includes over 90 unique pieces made of Corian and created by some of the world’s premier designers, all to be auctioned off online. The impressive slew of designers, who have so generously donated their works of art to this great cause, include Ingo Maurer, Jean-Marie Massaud, Patricia Urquiola and many others. All of the proceeds form the auction will be donated to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami.
Design enthusiasts and charitable hearts everywhere, don’t miss out on this fabulous philanthropic opportunity. The online auctions opens on November 21 at 12 p.m. and closes on December 3 at 6 p.m. Make sure to mark your calendars!
