Christian Louboutin Introduces Latest Work From Artist Madeleine Berkhemer
Christian Louboutin is hosting an exclusive event at the brand’s Miami Design District boutique during Art Basel on Saturday December 3rd, showcaseing the work of artist Madeleine Berkhemer.
Berkhemer’s new sculpture titled “The Other Night.” Housed in the gallery which surrounds the jewel box boutique, the new installation is described by the Dutch artist as “a tunnel which forms the transition from the entrance of the store towards the shoes, connecting the two through a path of desire…”
The sculpture is the latest installment in a trilogy which made its debut with when the boutique first opened in 2009. It was followed by “Star of the South II” in 2010 and this year, the trilogy sees its completion with the debut of “The Other Night”.
