Celebrate 15 Years of Jimmy Choo with the Icons Exhibition at Crystals

The Jimmy Choo Icons Exhibit runs through Nov. 17.

Any shoe aficionado knows that Jimmy Choo has made an indelible impression on the world of fashion. Now through Nov. 17, you can help the iconic shoe brand celebrate its 15 anniversary with Icons, a multimedia exhibit at Crystals at CityCenter.

For each year, Jimmy Choo is showing off some of its most significant shoes along with a capsule collection, Icons, that are modern interpretations now available for purchase. Look for Feather immortalized by Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City” when she exclaimed, “I lost my Choo!”  Also included is Macy, a satin sandal worn most recently on Academy Award winner Natalie Portman, and Fleur, a classic pointy-toe stiletto worn by Tamara Mellon when she was awarded the Order of the British Empire by the Queen.

You can find the collection on the second floor of Crystals at CityCenter in a dedicated area designed exclusively for the exhibition. Multimedia exhibition elements take you through a journey recounting each shoe’s inspiration and significance in the company’s history.  An accompanying iPad presentation features original sketches, celebrity images, editorial images and selects from memorable Jimmy Choo advertising campaigns. A film by Marcus Werner provides a rich visual landscape for the exhibition.

To commemorate the exhibition and the company’s anniversary, a coffee table book, “Jimmy Choo XV,” will also be available for sale within the exhibition and in all Jimmy Choo stores worldwide. The book features an introduction by Tamara Mellon and a foreword by fashion journalist Colin McDowell. Through captivating imagery shot by photographers such as Mario Testino and Terry Richardson, editorial from the world’s top fashion magazines, paparazzi shots from the red carpet, design studio sketches and behind the scenes photography, the reader is taken on a visual tour through an anthology of the iconic Jimmy Choo creations.

The company will donate 100 percent of its revenues from the sale of the book to the Jimmy Choo Foundation, a charitable trust that empowers women by helping them to lead healthier and safer lives. A further 10 percent of net sales of the ICONS collection shoes will be donated to the Jimmy Choo Foundation. Both the Icons collection shoes and “Jimmy Choo XV” will also be available online at jimmychoo.com.
