Westfield Stratford City – Europe’s largest shopping centre – may have dominated the headlines since it opened its enormous doors for business back in September, but those in the know are heading east to One New Change.

The gorgeous Jean Nouvel designed shopping centre that’s situated immediately east of St Paul’s Cathedral, is packed with sophisticated shops and is a much more civilised shopping affair than its Stratford counterpart. Forget Primark, Pineapple, Clintons, Aldo et al, tenants at One New Change include the  likes of All Saints, Banana Republic and Reiss. All of the shops have been carefully selected to appeal to the hardened fashion fanatic, putting the excitement back into the shopping experience.

The dining options are more discerning too. Yes Nandos, Byron, Zizzi and Eat are all present and correct but more exciting eating options include Searcys Champagne Bar, Jamie Oliver’s Barbecoa and Gordon Ramsay’s latest offering to the world: take a bow The Bread Street Kitchen.

When night falls, St Paul’s party people head up to the drop dead gorgeous rooftop terrace. Haute Living – having been invited to attend the centre’s first birthday celebrations last week – spent a memorable evening at Madison, with its arresting vistas of St Paul’s Cathedral and the London skyline, and serious service values. All told, One New Change is an avant-garde shopper’s dream.

Last night, everyone’s favorite “Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi took Sin City by storm as she hosted a spine-chilling Halloween bash at Pure Nightclub inside Caesars Palace.

The petite guidette along with her best friend Caitlin Ryder aka “Ryder” arrived at the mega-club just before midnight looking feisty and fierce in their feline costumes. Polizzi was dressed as a sexy leopard decked out head-to-toe in fur complete with paws and tail. In addition, the energetic brunette was covered in body paint and completed the look with a set of cat eye contact lenses. In full Halloween spirit, the 23-year-old MTV reality darling growled at the cameras as she posed for photos on the red carpet.

Known for drawing a crowd wherever she goes, Polizzi was instantaneously surrounded by fans as she was being escorted inside the nightclub. Hundreds of admirers screamed and shouted, “I love you, Snooki” as she made her through the venue and to her VIP table.

Once she settled into her area, Polizzi rushed to the front of the stage and immediately became the center of attention. Getting the party started off right, she pumped up the crowd by shaking her tail (literally) and throwing large lighted foam batons into the sea of club-goers. She got on the mic and said, “Thank you, everyone, for coming out tonight to my favorite club in Vegas!”

Later in the evening, Polizzi played her role as celebrity guest judge in search for the “Sexiest Vixen.” One-by-one the gorgeous contestants strutted their way to the main stage as they showed off their bewitching costumes for Polizzi. The competition was close as she thought all the girls looked hot and couldn’t decide, but with help from the crowd, the fist pumping party girl picked “Sexy Elvis” as the first place winner, followed by the “Black Angel” in second and the “Three Musketeers” in third place.

After judging the contest, Polizzi continued to party with fans as she spent the rest of the evening sipping on cocktails and dancing.

This month saw the launch of popular Sugar Daddy’s Bakery and Café’s new brand Hey Sugar. The trendy Dubai and Abu Dhabi-based bakery became known for its decedent cupcakes and sweet treats called ‘Hey Sugar.’ The new brand aims to deliver an innovative range of delicious desserts as well as a higher standard of service and quality.

Hey Sugar is the product of husband and wife team, Dana Jallad and Raed Saqfelhait, the founders and managing directors of Sugar Daddy’s Bakery and Café LLC in Dubai. The new brand will launch at Sugar Daddy’s existing nine locations, five of which are dine-in cafes on Jumeirah Beach Residence, Park Island- Dubai Marina, Mirdiff City Centre, Galleries Lafayette at the Dubai Mall and Al Khalidiyah Mall in Abu Dhabi in addition to the original location at the Village Mall which stands today at more than double its original size.  All locations offer a modern yet cozy environment against the backdrop of its signature mint green and white striped walls, a look which the new brand will continue to carry. Customers can indulge in an ever growing number of cupcakes flavours and sweet treats like whoopie pies, banoffee pies, cookies, brownies, cake pops, breakfast loaves and cakes, as well as a selection of gourmet coffees, teas and speciality cupcakes.

“This is the perfect time to launch Hey Sugar, as our concept is preparing to expand regionally and internationally. We wanted to introduce a name that is culturally more acceptable to our customer base yet maintain the fun personality of our brand. This year will also feature the regional growth of Hey Sugar as new locations open in Saudi and Qatar.  “We are quite excited about our rapid expansion plans in the UAE and the region as a whole. Pauly D spins at Rain Nightclub for Paulyween.

Palms resident DJ Pauly D hosted “Paulyween” in Rain Nightclub inside the Palms on Saturday night. Pauly D dressed with a Halloween mask had the packed house fist pumping all night long.

Actress Jaime Pressly along with her boyfriend Hamzi Hijazi and some friends had dinner at N9NE Steakhouse inside the Palms Casino Resort on Saturday night. Pressly enjoyed the rock shrimp to start and the short ribs for her entrée. After dinner they headed to Moon Nightclub where they sat at a VIP table on the dance floor.

Marco Franciosa co-founded Soil Born Farm, an organic farm and non-profit education center in Sacramento, CA in 2000. The farm grew from a 1 acre urban garden run by two young farmers to a 25 acre ranch with over 15 employees. A few years into the operation, Kay (a young apprentice on a neighboring farm) came to Soil Born to help with the harvest. Marco and Kay met while picking cherry tomatoes and a year later she was hired to help develop the ranch and ultimately became the farm manager. Together, they ran a CSA, sold at several farmers markets, and provided over a dozen of Sacramento’s best restaurants with the freshest produce in town. Although Soil Born Farm was a success they had a dream to leave the city and start a new operation on a farm by a river in the country. In 2010, after two years of looking for the perfect spot, their search ended in Brownsville, Oregon at Sunset Lane Farm.

A new Shake Shack recently opened in Westport, Connecticut and people are loving it. The Shake Shack, owned and operated by Danny Meyer, is one of the most successful high-end fast food chains in the country. Among other things, the Shack serves delicious burgers, fries, milkshakes and beer. This new location is the only one of its kind in suburbia and many people were skeptical about its success. Fortunately Meyer wasn’t intimidated and knew that his place would do well in a new setting. Everybody loves burgers and shakes, including suburbanites in Connecticut.

Jaime Pressly and her new boyfriend Hamzi Hijazi at GBDC.

The star of the new Fox sitcom “I Hate My Teenage Daughter” Jaime Pressly along with her boyfriend Hamzi Hijazi hung out at GBDC ghostbar dayclub inside the Palms on Saturday afternoon. Her new show is set to debut on Fox Nov. 30.

Pressly sat at a VIP table and enjoyed the sounds of Palms resident DJ Zen Freeman while enjoying the afternoon festivities and great views 55 floors above the Las Vegas Strip.

Pressly, 34, filed for divorce from entertainment lawyer Simran Singh last January. The former “My Name Is Earl” star met Hijazi met at Lorin, his shoe store in downtown Santa Monica, Calif., according to People magazine.

Jennifer “JWoww” Farley and boyfriend Roger Mathews feed each other scoops of ice cream at Sugar Factory American Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas.

“Jersey Shore” siren Jennifer “JWoww” Farley kicked off her Halloween celebration with a mouthwatering feast fit for a Guido-loving princess at Sugar Factory American Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas last night.

Farley, joined by boyfriend Roger Matthews, sampled a selection of New York strip steak, veggie burgers and mussels, accompanied with two Almond Joy martinis.

For dessert, the brunette bombshell indulged in the colossal King Kong ice cream sundae. The couple playfully fed each other bites of the mountainous ice cream creation while sipping on creamy, red velvet martinis.

Dressed in a curve-hugging gangster costume, JWoww stopped by Sugar Factory’s flagship retail store to pick up a few of her favorite sweets, including red licorice and watermelon Couture Pops, before heading up to her Halloween bash at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens.

Also spotted at the sweetest spot on the Strip was UFC Lightweight Champion Frank Edgar. Edgar, along with his wife, Renee, both sported gangster costumes as they enjoyed a sampling of roasted chicken and Mediterranean salads.
