Haute Event Recap: MoAD Celebrates 6th Anniversary at Palace Hotel

Last Saturday, October 15, 2011, the Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) celebrated 6th years of achievement by hosting a spectacular black-tie gala at San Francisco’s Palace Hotel. The high profile event included distinguished guests: Actor/producer Delroy Lindo as Master of Ceremony; Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown; Gala Co-Chairs, Lloyd H. Dean President/CEO of Catholic Healthcare West; and Deborah Santana, Founder, CEO of Do A Little, Inc.
Deborah Santana presented the Honors Circle Awards to recognize individuals who have supported MoAD since its inception. Guests enjoyed dinner, dancing and lively entertainment throughout the evening.
Proceeds from the gala supported MoAD’s mission, vision and goal to showcase exhibitions and educational programs that expand its reach to multi-ethnic communities.
