Haute 100 Update: Tom Ford Documentary Premieres on Oprah Winfrey Network

Famously private fashion designer Tom Ford is allowing fans a rare peek into his life as the subject of his own documentary on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. The icon tells all as part of the network’s Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind documentary series.

The series includes other minds like Tyler Perry, James Cameron, Will.I.Am, and Annie Leibovitz. Ford’s installment aired on the network on Sunday, Oct. 23 and delved into the designer’s private life.

Ford exposed lesser known aspects about himself, like a look at his day-to-day life, a peek into his London studio, his habit of bathing at least three times a day, his creative process, his leaving Gucci and YSL, and even glimpse at his notoriously secretive debut womenswear runway presentation.

“Tom Ford embodies the idea of what a creative visionary is,” remarked director Michael Bonfiglio. “His taste and his creations, from his clothing to his filmmaking, is so specific and beautiful. He knows precisely what he wants, and when you see something he has created, it’s unmistakably his.”
