Spend Labor Day at the Sausalito Art Festival

Celebrate Labor Day in style with some of the art world’s most elite members at the Sausalito Art Festival. The Festival, returning to the village of Sausalito for its 59th season,  will feature exhibits by 275 local, national, and international artists. More than 20,000 original works of art will be showcased including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, fiber art, fine glass, woodwork, mixed media and photography.

Kick off the weekend by sipping cocktails and mingling with the Festival’s artists at the “Friday Night Opening Party”, which for the first time will  take place on an elegant yacht. Then on Saturday make sure to check out the Special Photography Exhibit titled “The Beautiful Brain: Neuroscience Images as Art,” – a display of dramatic photos of the microscopic architecture of brain tissue taken by modern research scientists

Approximately 34,000 fine art enthusiasts are expected to attend the festivities. Proceeds from the Festival support local arts and community non-profits through grants, artist awards, scholarships, and community service programs. Don’t miss out on an opportunity to rub shoulders with fellow art lovers, collectors, and the artists themselves.
