The Mulberry Project To Participate in the 85th Annual Feast of San Gennaro Food Festival

Little Italy’s chicest subterranean restaurant Mulberry Project will participate in the 85th Annual Feast of San Gennaro Food Festival from September 15th – 25th.

Mulberry Project will add an eclectic and original taste to the Italian-focused festival with dishes by Executive Chef Michael “Kiwi Camplin.” Typically, the festival is more focused on the Italian-based restaurants the inundate the area, but Mulberry Project has a ton of offerings from their internationally-inspired menu. They are serving Short Rib Sliders and Tuscan Fries, which are off the beaten path for the festival and add a fun twist to the 10 day event.

Specialty dishes include:

Short Rib Sliders $10

Tuscan Fries $5

All Together: $13

Beverages created by Mulberry Project’s renowned mixologists will include:

Tropical Fruit Punch (Pineapple, Passionfruit Lime and Mint)- $3

Revamped Classic Lemonade– $3

The outpost will be located right outside the restaurant at 149 Mulberry Street (between Hester & Grand St.).

The 85th Annual Feast of San Gennaro, New York City’s longest-running, biggest and most revered religious outdoor festival in the United States, will be held Thursday, September 15, through Sunday, September 25, 2011, on the streets of historic Little Italy, the lower Manhattan neighborhood which served as the first home in America for hundreds of thousands of Italian immigrants who came here seeking to improve their lives beginning in the early part of the 20th century.
