Haute Living takes a look at the priciest commercial real estate in North America. Read on to see if your city made the list.

Real estate services firm Jones Lang LaSalle released a list of the most expensive streets in the United States and Canada to rent office space. Take a look at the most expensive places for commercial real estate below:

#25 – Halifax (Canada) Upper Walter Street

#24 – Dallas, TX McKinney Avenue


#23 – Houston, TX Louisiana Street

#22 – Miami, FL Brickell Avenue

#21 – Austin, TX Congress Avenue

#20 – Northern New Jersey Campus Drive

#19 – Edmonton (Canada) 101 Street NW

#18 – Fort Lauderdale, FL East Las Olas Boulevard

#17 – Chicago, IL Wacker Drive

#16 – San Diego, CA El Camino Real

#15 – Montreal (Canada) McGill College

#14 – San Francisco, CA California Street

#13 – Calgary (Canada) Third Avenue

#12 – Orange County, CA Newport Center Drive

#11 – Vancouver (Canada) Burrard Street

#10 – Ottawa (Canada) Albert Street

#9 – Toronto (Canada) Bay Street

#8 – Boston, MA Boylston Street

#7 – Palm Beach, FL Royal Palm Way

Fifth Avenue’s rental office space goes for around $97 per square foot.

#1 – Menlo Park, CA Sand Hill Road

Although you may not guess it at first glance, Sand Hill Road in Menlo Park, California, came in at number one for the most expensive street to rent office space. Perched at the edge of Stanford campus, Sand Hill Road is the de facto hub for the venture capital firms that fuel Silicon Valley. Rent here averages $114 per square foot and tops out just shy of $200.

Sand Hill Road has immediate proximity to a top-notch freeway (Highway 280), extremely exclusive residential areas (Atherton and Woodside), a leading research institution (Stanford), a cultural metropolis (San Francisco) and a booming industrial corridor (Silicon Valley).
