Haute Event: Tao Celebrates 1,000 Nights with Jay-Z, Dr. Dre and Jermaine Dupri

Jay-Z helps Tao Nightclub celebrate its 1,000th night with a $100,000, 15-liter bottle of Ace of Spades Champagne.

Friday night Tao Nightclub at the Venetian celebrated its 1,000th night. Jay-Z hosted the event commemorating so many great parties. The legend himself was joined by the father of the West Dr. Dre as they held court at a dance floor table, providing inspiration for DJ Ross One who went back and forth playing each of their hits. Jay-Z was presented with a $100,000, 15-liter bottle of Ace of Spades Champagne delivered on a king’s throne with jokers in tow.

Jay-Z and Dr. Dre toasted Jermaine Dupri, who was also at the sold-out event celebrating his 36th birthday. Tao Las Vegas opened exactly six years ago to the night, on Sept. 23, 2005, with a monster 30th birthday bash for Dupri hosted by his ex Janet Jackson. While he hung with Jay-Z and Dr. Dre, Dupri’s crew took over a table across the dance floor where he was joined by disco spawn and “90210” actor Evan Ross and his wife Corra Skinner. Jay-Z sent over bottles of Ace of Spades Champagne and Patron to Dupri, which was accompanied by a giant 8-foot blow up birthday cake.

Joe Jonas dined with friends at the restaurant before heading up to the club for the festivities where he joined a table that included “Dancing with the Star” partners Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke. The dancing duo kept to a strict schedule and stayed in the club for about hour as they had to be up early to rehearse for Monday’s performance. Also in the group was Jonas ex, “Twilight” star Ashley Green.  The two, who ended their relationship in March, have remained friends and seemed at ease hanging out and taking in the crazy Tao scene.

Also spotted on the dance floor was Dane Cook, who returned to the table where he celebrated his own birthday a few months back. The comedian had ladies fawning for his attention.

Up in a sky box Kelly Clarkson treated her entire band and crew to a post concert celebration.  The group of 25 had prime viewing of the dance floor and enjoyed bottles VIP style.

Michael Yo from E! dined at the Asian bistro, enjoying Lobster Wontons, Yellowtail jalapeno and more.

At Lavo at the Palazzo, Eva Amurri was celebrating as well. The “Californication” actress and daughter of Susan Sarandon reveled in her final days as an unwed woman. Her bachelorette party started with dinner at Lavo Italian Restaurant before the group of ladies and a few token gentlemen made their way to a  VIP table in the nightclub. DJ Politik provided the soundtrack for the evening and they danced all night, with Amurri donning a Lavo Bride tiara and feather boa to accompany her Herve Leger dress and Swarovski purse. She was surprised with a cake from Gimme Some Sugar and then made a late night stop at Tao to check out the action there.
