Haute 100 Update: NYC’s Legendary Studio 54 to Re-Open for ‘One More Night’

Ian Schrager’s legendary Studio 54 nightclub will re-open its doors at its original location for the first time in over 25 years for one spectacular evening. On Tuesday, Oct. 18, the iconic disco will hold their “One More Night” event and bring together its original crew in celebration of SiriusXM radio’s launch of Studio 54 Radio.
The evening will recreate the club’s ‘70s heyday atmosphere and will join together Studio 54’s former crew of disco days past – entertainment producer Karin Bacon, architect Scott Bromley, doorman Marc Benecke, assistant to the club’s owners Myra Scheer, head of security Chuck Garelick, bartender Scott Taylor, and others.
Original Studio 54 DJs Nicky Siano and Leroy Washington will be on hand to bring back the atmosphere of the iconic club with the era’s dance classics. Celebrities – some from the former owners’ high-profile Rolodex – will be in attendance as well as some lucky SiriusXM listeners.
The evening will feature all of what made the club legendary, including over-the-top production details like theatrics, backdrops, aerialist performers, and dancers. “There has been a great response to the launch of Studio 54 Radio and we want to continue that excitement with this special one-time event,” said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer of SiriusXM. “We are working with many of the members of the original team that Ian Schrager and Steve Rubell so brilliantly assembled to create one more night.”
Studio 54 is located at 254 West 54th Street.
