Do you think you have what it takes to be a cupcake champion? Test out your baking skills at “Miami’s Top Cupcake Challenge” at the Shops at Sunset Place. If you think you have what it takes, submit your entry by Friday, November 4 for your original cupcake. The Cupcake Challenge will start off the Second Annual “ How Sweet It is…A Taste of The Holidays,” an indulgent tasting event on Thursday, December 8 which benefits Neighbors 4 Neighbors.

The Shops attendees at this event will enjoy a decadent display of gourmet treats and all-you-can-eat desserts. There will also be family-friendly activities including face painting and cookie decorating. South Florida’s leading restaurants, tastiest bakeries, and first-class caterers will transform the Shops into a heaven area of delicious desserts and unique culinary creations.

“Miami’s Top Cupcake Challenge” urges local resident to submit their own original cupcake recipe.. A committee will then review the recipe submissions and select the best to compete. The finalists must prepare their cupcake, which will then be judged live at the Shops at Sunset Place on Thursday, December 8 at 6:00 pm. The competition will be hosted by a variety of people including local anchors, food editors, and various local celebrity guest judges.

The panel will sample all the cupcake entrees and then base the winning cupcake on creativity, taste and presentation. One finalist will be chosen and win a $200 Simon American Express Gift Card and have his or her photo taken to be featured in SOMI magazine as the winner of “ The Cupcake Challenge.”
