A robbery at Graydon Carter’s West Village celebrity eatery Waverly Inn left one employee injured after he was hit in the face with a bottle. According to police, two unidentified men broke into the restaurant at 16 Bank St. just after 5 a.m. on September 2. The assailants struck a 28-year-old male staffer in the face and then made off with bottles of tequila, whiskey and gin valued at $900. The unidentified employee was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. A rep confirmed the incident and told us the staff member is “OK.” The Waverly was scheduled to be open for dinner after the incident.
Earlier this week, LeBron James, his girlfriend, Savannah Brinson, and Carmelo Anthony and his wife La La Anthony were there on a double date to celebrate Brinson’s 25th birthday.
