British Shoe Designer Nicholas Kirkwood to Open NYC Boutique

Nicholas Kirkwood is set to open its first US store in New York City at the start of 2012. According to WWD, the 1,500-square-foot flagship store will live at 807 Washington Street.

“We [have] some very loyal New York-based customers, and a presence of a retail location in New York will help continue build the brand awareness in the US market…” the designer told Vogue UK.

The NYC locale will be the brit-bred footwear designer’s second standalone shopping destination after making his debut in London in May of this year. Kirkwood’s celebrity following includes Beyonce, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sienna Miller and Rihanna.
