What’s in Store for Tyler Florence at San Francisco’s Hotel Rex
by Alison Agudo

Celebrity chef and Food Network star, Tyler Florence, may be bringing his culinary talents to Hotel Rex as reports swirl he has a project underway at the boho-chic Union Square hotel.
Hotel Rex is known for its cozy Library Bar and bohemian style and there is also a currently closed Café Andrée at the front of the hotel. The Library Bar’s menu currently consists of starters, soups, salads, sandwiches and some entrees, but some are wondering if Florence will be updating the menu with his globally inspired cuisine or perhaps taking over the Café Andrée space.
Florence has not made any official comments or released any specific details, however he did imply that a project with Hotel Rex is in the final planning phase and it’s going to be “very cool.” Stay tuned!
Hotel Rex is located at 562 Sutter Street at Mason.
