Run by Jake Parkinson-Smith, this swish South Ken club is where Princes William and Harry head when they want a break from royal duties. Tuesday nights at Boujis are a favourite – not just with the royals, but with the stars of Made in Chelsea and society crowd who party with them. Inspired DJs fire up the dance floor with a canny choice of singles. Thirsty? Order the FaBoujis egg: a large egg-shaped ice sculpture filled with 30 Crackbaby (vodka, Chambord, passion fruit, champagne and a secret ingredient) shots and topped with champagne (£350-£550).

Effortlessly combining style and substance, Fabric has been the club to be seen at for many a year now – an accolade that doesn’t look likely to change in a hurry. Head here Fridays (for hip hop, drum n bass) or Saturdays (for so hip- it- hurts house and techno DJs), for a night of posing, dancing and drinking until daybreak. Dress code is cool but casual.

Kitsch Lounge Riot (KLR) at Café de Paris deserves to do well. It’s a drop dead gorgeous venue (descend down a sweeping, gilt staircase before being seated at a cocktail table), the cocktails are competent and the live acts excellent. The likes of Jamie Cullum and co have all taken to the stage in the past, to perform Rat Pack-tastic classics to the capital’s classiest party animals. Come 2am, DJs to dictate the snazzy beats for the faithful few.

One of the happiest venues in the West End, The Social is a product of the Heavenly record and club producers, whose parties have seen some of London’s most famous DJs. The two level space allows for a variety of dance activity. The music is always top notch – as is the crowd.

Making a triumphant return after a nearly two decade absence, Studio Valbonne’s new rich red, purple and gold interior has been the subject of rave reviews. And rightly so: the colour scheme gives the famous club (that hosted the A listers like George Michael and Madonna when it ruled the West End in the 1980s) a relaxed yet seriously sexy vibe. On the music front, upfront R&B, old school house and disco make for a dancer’s delight. Body bopped till you’ve dropped? Refuel at one of the two bars that flank the 10m square dance floor.
