The Jay-Z/ Kanye West 'Otis' Maybach underwhelmed predictions when it sold only for $60,000 at the New York Contemporary Art Evening auction held by Phillips de Pury & Co.
The mangled Maybach from the Jay-Z and Kanye West music video for their Grammy-winning song Otis has been sold at auction for $60,000. Though the final selling price was significantly lower than anticipated, part of the money will be going to the Save the Children foundation.
Barrett-Jackson brings its classic auction to West Palm Beach today. The company, based in Scottsdale, Ariz., is known for its high-end classic cars such as a 1966 Shelby GT350 and a 1962 Chevrolet Corvette.
Currently under construction, Chateau des Fleurs is a 60,000-square-foot super mansion located on ten sprawling acres in Bel-Air, California.
