Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance 2011

Day two of my Pebble Beach weekend was relaxing. In the morning, I went into town and had breakfast at Pebble Hotel and then picked up my media credentials. Later in the day I enjoyed a game of golf with some friends before attending the Bugatti event and the Bentley event. The Bentley event was a top-secret affair in which no one was allowed to bring in phones or cameras, as they unveiled an amazing new car.

Sunday morning I woke up and headed to Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which is the most amazing event for old and new luxury cars. I saw the most incredible cars from the 1800s and 1900s from Mercedes, Rolls Royce, Porsche, Jaguar, Ferrari, Bugatii and more.

The best parts of Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance are being able to meet the car manufacturers and get a glimpse at the new cars. I had a great meeting with Spyker Cars’ Carsten Preisz; I’m hugely impressed with the cars and think that once they are brought to the US, they will be a huge hit. I also visited the very popular Lotus booth.

Later, I ventured to the golf course to take a look at the new concept cars from Lexus, Maserati, McLaren, Fisker, Ford, Lexus, Lamborghini and more.  During my tour I got to meet Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was looking at the Fisker, the haute energy-efficient vehicle that was purchased by Leo DiCaprio last week in LA.

After the tour, I hit the Concours and lounged in the Rolls Royce Luxury suite, which was the best part of the event as I got to hang out with our Haute Living friends and their Rolls Royce customers.

Sunday was a great day with a huge record crowd. There were certainly no signs of a recession in Pebble Beach this weekend.
