In New York City, there is always a new hot spot, but unless you’ve walked the red carpet, good luck getting in.
Until NiteTables- the revolutionary way in planning V.I.P services for the New York City area. Having just launched their website, you’ll no longer need to wait on line, make a phone call or pay off the doorman to secure a reservation at exclusive venues. Whether the occasion is a birthday, bachelor/bachelorette party, corporate event or simply a night on the town, the website-based user-friendly interface allows reservations to be made at some of the hottest clubs at the click of a button.
Upon selecting a venue of choice, users can browse photos, videos, floor plans, select a specific seating area and choose party packages for all types of occasions, all before arriving at their desired location. Over 100 venues have signed on with NiteTables including 49 Grove, Amnesia NYC, District 36, Hudson Terrace, Le Souk, Chelsea Room and Cielo, to name a few. While beginning as an Internet booking system, NiteTables will quickly establish itself as the hub between technology, lifestyle experiences and social media.

Haute Living sat down for an exclusive interview with one of the co-founders behind NiteTables, Matt Bosso.
Matt Bosso is a specialist in content creation and project management, previously working as the Executive Producer of the top-rated KTU Morning Show on 103.5 WKTU in New York City, as well as a Music Director for Clear Channel’s iHeartradio and Premium Choice programming platforms. In addition, he’s currently an on-air host for 103.5 KTU and Executive Producer/Correspondent for the nationally-syndicated Remix Top 30 Countdown. Matt has worked alongside legends such as Whoopi Goldberg and has interviewed some of the biggest stars in music, including Jennifer Lopez, Justin Timberlake and Mary J. Blige, to name a few.
What fostered the idea for an online booking service?
Adam Alson designed the idea and site and then came to Jon Zimmereli and I who were both shocked that such a service didn’t already exist. We saw that the internet efficiencies that we value in our day-to-day lives don’t exist for night life. We want instant gratification for the booking process.
Why book through NiteTables.com instead of a club or promoter?
Through us, you can choose the specifics of your evening. From Neighborhood to budget, even down to the spirit you choose to drink. For out-of-towners especially, it is a great service if you don’t know where exactly you want to go or who to get in touch with for ideas.
What’s Next?
We are really excited about the site’s launch. with over one hundred venues on our side, the possibilities for how this can grow are endless, but right now we are focused on getting this off the ground and keeping [our customers] happy.
For your next big night on the town, book with Nitetables

Mother Nature prompts Marc Jacobs to push their show at New York Fashion Week back three days. Jacob’s business partner Robert Duffy cites NYC’s going underground last Friday due to Hurricane Irene as prohibiting preparation for the house’s originally scheduled September 12 show.
Duffy told WWD, ” That lost time is impossible to make up without pushing the show back. Our entire sample room – most of the people live outside the city and they couldn’t get in here this weekend, nor would we have wanted them to. I feel the worst about people who want to get off to London.”
Now on the calender for Thursday September 15 at 8.30pm, the frantic rescheduling may be a pr nightmare for folks at London Fashion Week, which starts on Friday morning.

Once the VMAs came to a close, the real party began at venues such as The Colony, The Roosevelt Hotel, Harvard & Stone, The W hotel, and Boulevard 3 where Lil Wayne celebrated the release of his album, The Carter IV. Before the parties though, starlets did their third, fourth or fifth wardrobe change. The VMAs is one of the most momentous evenings for young stars in the music biz. Celebrating her first VMA win, Katy Perry and husband Russell Brand headed to the House Of Hype for Esquire’s post-show party.
The VMA after party at the Colony is one of the most popular parties to attend. Some of the stars that attended the festivities here include Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale. For an even more exclusive fete, All Saints and Harvard & Stone joined forces in creating a post award show party for an elite list of stars. Here, Patrick Carney of The Black Keys spun an exclusive vinyl record set, before Foster The People took to the tables. Another note worthy party was at the W hotel. The lobby was flooded with a crowd of Los Angeles hipsters and music buffs, who attended the party for an exclusive performance from Michael Buble, as well as local bands, who all paid homage to Michael Jackson.
Finally, the last artist to take the stage at the VMAs was none other than Lil Wayne, who began with a serene version of his song “How To Love,” before jumping to the other side of the spectrum with an enraged performance, in true Wayne form. Following the VMAs, he celebrated the release of his The Carter IV album with friends Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Ciara.

Miami Heat superstar LeBron James is set to participate in a star-studded summer league exhibition game in Baltimore at Morgan State University tonight at 7 pm. He’ll hit the court with the likes of the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony and the New Orleans Hornets’ Chris Paul as his teammates.
“With the lockout, it was a very good idea for us to do this, because a lot of NBA players are looking to play basketball,” said Kurk Lee, head of Anthony’s Melo Center in Baltimore. “They can’t be on practice facilities. They are looking to play summer league ball.”
100 $28 tickets to the exhibition were made available last week and sold out swiftly – in less than a day. In order to limit the risk of people selling counterfeit tickets, fans can pay admission at the door when they open at 6 pm on a first-come-first-serve basis for $40 for general admission and $100 for floor seats – with thousands anticipated to attend and the proceeds from ticket sales to benefit various charities.
Anthony will play on a stacked team that features his friends James and Paul, San Antonio guard Gary Neal, Sacramento forward Donte Greene, Memphis guard Josh Selby, Los Angeles Clippers guard Eric Bledsoe, and former New York and Chicago heavyweight Eddy Curry.
Kevin Durant will be on the opposing team, along with Boston forward Jeff Green, Sacramento center DeMarcus Cousins, Milwaukee guard Brandon Jennings, Denver guard Ty Lawson, Wizards forward Trevor Booker, Detroit forward Austin Daye, Lakers second round pick Ater Majok, former Syracuse player Arinze Onuaku, Anthony “Gumby” Williams and Omar Weaver. Michael Beasley broke his wrist while in China, but is expected to suit up for the game if he is feeling up to it.

Architect Tom Kundig is known for his passion and obsession with bare concrete, raw steel and creations that have distinctive personalities with modern interpretations. Haute Living takes a look at some of Kundig’s Northwest homes. Tom Kundig is a principal at Seattle-based Olson Kundig Architects and here are few of his great creations:
The Chicken Point Cabin, Lake Hayden in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho:

Built in 2002 this home continues to win over connoisseurs with its special feature: an operable wall of windows. The home is located on a stunning site and features rustic materials and unique details like a steel fireplace cut from a recycled section of an Alaskan oil pipeline.
The Studio House in Seattle, Washington:

Built in 1998, this home features a tessellated glass façade, fashionably rusted steel support beams and concrete interior walls. The property is a combination home and photo studio with a great room equipped with studio-grade ceiling lighting.
The Tye River Cabin in Skykomish, Washington:

This home, built in 2006, is located in the forest and described as “essentially a wooden tent on a platform that opens to the forest and river”. It measures just 600 square feet and encourages an outward orientation toward nature with rotating glass panels that allow entire walls of the structure to open up onto a surrounding patio.
The Pierre on San Juan Islands, Washington:

Perfect for anyone who loves being out by the rocky outcrop on San Juan Islands, this home was designed by Kundig in 2010 and integrated into the surrounding landscape. The home features a green roof and concrete exterior walls and appears to be nearly invisible from certain angles. It also has trademark steel windows that perfectly capture the water views.
The Shadowboxx on San Juan Islands, Washington:

Built in 2010, the Shadowboxx combines a more conventional profile with oversized portals that are slowly emerging as a new Kundig trademark. The front windows of the house can be concealed by a series of floor to ceiling corrugated doors that offer protection from island winds. It has a whimsical bath house wing with a roof that pivots up to allow for open air bathing.
