Naeem Khan Hosts Exclusive Preview of Luxury Faux Fur Line for HSN
by Benjamin-Émile Le Hay

Naeem Khan and Iris Apfel
Masterful couturier Naeem Khan is launching yet another limited collection for interactive multichannel retailer HSN. This round, Khan has collaborated with exquisite French faux fur maker Tissavel Tiger (manufactured by Tiger J LLC) on a high-quality line called “Timeless by Naeem Khan.” The pieces will go on sale in November on HSN.
The newfound joint venture with Tissavel Tiger is a notable one, as the company works under strict terms with professionals and exclusive brands. This past Monday, August 15th, Khan invited a medley of VIPs, editors, and publicists to preview the collection. “I think we can be extremely successful with what we have here,” beamed the designer, as he explained his stylistic vision and the tailored cuts of the garments to attendees; boasting of Tissavel’s unparalleled quality. Guests buzzed around, cooing over the wonderful collection, with glasses of bubbly and canapés at the ready. A special visit from style-legend Iris Apfel (who will soon debut her own jewelry line for HSN) was indeed a rare treat.
Naturally, the biggest triumph of the evening can be credited to the sumptuous faux fur pieces, which, according to Khan, are inspired by “Hollywood Chic.” Elegant mid-length jackets, vests, and hats of faux fur sable, mink, fox, leopard, ocelot and chinchilla came in sophisticated hues of cream, ink, camel, persimmon, chestnut brown, and cinereous. The fabrics were unimaginably genuine-like and luxurious to the touch. The assortment of outerwear and accessories will be priced from $89.90 to upwards of $999.

“This [Tissavel] faux fur is woven rather than knitted,” enlightened Khan, which results in its enhanced quality. To that end, the designs offer superiority, warmth and longevity that is not usually associated with knitted fake fur.
The charming, Indian-born designer has dressed Lady Obama twice for state dinners (India and Germany) and counts Eva Longoria, Beyoncé, and Annette Bening as super fans. Khan’s popularity surged as his unimpeachable quality, rich fabrics, ornate appliqué embellishment, and breathtaking designs have garnered him much deserved praise worldwide. Khan’s first coveted “Timeless” partnership with HSN flew off the shelves, selling out within minutes of airing on the network. Expect similar results again come November.
