Matthew Leonard Appointed Executive Chef at Eos at the Viceroy

Eos at the Viceroy Miami welcomes a new executive chef, restaurant industry veteran Matthew Leonard.

Before Leonard was appointed to take the helm of the Viceroy’s signature eatery, he worked in various four and five-star restaurants, some international. A few of his prior employers include the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, El San Juan Hotel & Casino in Puerto Rico, Mark Miller’s Coyote Café in Santa Fe and The Royal Palms Hotel and Casitas in Arizona. After many more years of experience, Leonard began a career with the Montage Hotels and Resorts Group.

After eight years, Leonard made the decision to come to Miami.

And he’s excited to have made that choice. “My style of cuisine is fresh, simple, yet contemporary and perfectly matched to Eos’ ethic,” he said. “Miami’s evolution into a burgeoning culinary destination is very exciting and I look forward to creating delicious food in such beautiful surroundings.”

Eos patrons have new menu items to look forward to in the coming months, and each will feature Leonard’s take on traditional Eos plates.
