Marc Jacobs for Dior?
Its been five-months since Dior creative direct John Galliano’s anti-Semitism scandal, and subsequent resignation. Leaving fashion media to sift through a bottomless list of rumored replacements. But when a respected fashion publication such as Women’s Wear Daily stirs the pot with the likes of Marc Jacobs, we listen.
According to an anonymous source, Jacobs talks take-over with LVMH head Bernard Arnault this week.
In addition to designing his own collections, Jacobs has held the seat as head designer for Dior’s fellow LVMH brand Louis Vuitton since 1997. According to WWD, Jacobs stands to be replaced by Phoebe Philo of Céline.
Dior will show its Spring/Summer 2012 collection during Paris fashion week this October.
