Over The Top Luxury Products and Services

A self-proclaimed product and service junky, I often come across “stuff” that leave me speechless. I’ll let you be the final judge, but here’s a list of this weeks top winners in my book ranging from complete gluttony to complete perfection.

Gold/Diamond Eye Jewelry: If you have $15,000 to spare and you’re Lady Gaga, you might be interested in the gold plated diamond contact lenses from India. The lenses are encrusted with 18 diamonds and weigh a total of 5 grams. Rush out and grab them fast though, as the inventor, Dr. Chandrashekhar Chawan, only plans to make 3,996 of them. Good news is they are certified and can be used for the rest of your life. Just ask Edward Cullen.

Car Spa: Just when I thought I had heard it all, I read about the world’s most expensive car wash–or excuse me, “auto spa.” Treat your car to 250 hours of pampering which includes over 100 different cleaning chemicals and a very expensive wax job. For a small fortune your car will come out look like a million bucks–or $11,773 to be exact. Monza Ultimate Detailing and Protection, based out of Dubai, boasts that no bare human hands ever touch the car–in case you were worried about that.

Swarovski Headphones: Channel your inner DJ and diva all at the same time with the HD25 mk II black Swarovski headphones. Lined with 2,000 crystals you will be sure to stand out from the other musicphiles–and it will only set you back $650.

Nail Polish of the extreme: Thanks to another innovative invention by Jane Shub, Strangebeautiful creator, you won’t have to worry about your nails smelling anything less than fabulous…if that was a worry in the first place. This clear perfume for your nails is described as “an earthy chypre blend with notes of black leather, tobacco, ylang ylang, tuberose and sandalwood.” I am not sure if I want to wear it or put it in my hookah pipe. Either way, this is a vast improvement over the last brand launch which was inspired by “menstrual blood and bruises.” Don’t believe me? See for yourself

Movies, Wine & Sushi: Now this is what I am talking about. Cinepolis Luxury Cinemas in Southern California has found away to combine three of my favorite things into one evening. Now that I know this even exists, I will be stalking their site in anxious anticipation for an East Coast arrival. Donned with spacious leather recliners there is a waiter service button where you can order gourmet finger-foods, sushi and wine and cheese in addition to the usual popcorn and candies. Now if the recliners have built in massage capabilities, I might have to relocate.
