London’s Priciest Mansion Bought By Russian Billionaire

Resembling something straight out of Nicole Kidman’s haunted mansion thriller, The Others, the £140 million extravagant Park Place estate, near Henley-on-Thames at Oxfordshire, has been purchased by a Russian oligarch.

Its connection to the early 2000’s ghost-ridden horror flick lies in the female apparition that is said to have haunted the property.

Classified as the priciest home in the UK, the manor is considered the most fruitful in the country’s real estate to date.

Once the home of George II’s eldest son, the 30,000 square foot monstrosity boasts ten bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a spa complex, helipad, home cinema, and hi-tech security system. The interior riggings have been completely renovated, but of course, the timeless appearance stays the same.

The house’s alleged ghost, Mary Blandy, accused of patricide in 1712, is a lucky spirit indeed. The premises also include stables, a boathouse, and a barrel-vaulted Grecian grotto dating back to the 18th century.
