Jay-Z’s The 40/40 Club Announces New York City Flagship To Re-Open in November
Jay-Z’s The 40/40 Club announced that plans to re-open doors to their New York City flagship location, located at 6 West 25th Street, are set for the beginning of November 2011. Originally slated to re-open at summer’s end, design delays have lead to a new opening date. The 40/40 Club’s representative stated that they now aim to re-open the iconic club for November 1, 2011.
On June 1st, 2011, The 40/40 Club temporally closed their doors to undergo over $10 million in renovations under the Jeffrey Beers design team. This delay in re-opening is a direct result of the extensive floor-to-ceiling transformation of the club. With changes being made to the entire club space, VIP rooms and even the outdoor façade, production teams underestimated the time to completion. Despite these delays, the New York City flagship location will re-define what it means to be a luxury sports lounge and nightclub.
Key elements of The 40/40 Club New York City renovation will include a new Broadway grand entrance to the club, custom illuminated amber resin bar top, illuminated bottle display tower (18’ tall), supple leather upholstered wall paneling, custom walnut millwork with smoked bronze mirrors, enlarged marble stepped arena-style seating with plush lounge banquettes, giant state-of-the-art LED television displays, a new second floor ‘catwalk’ and new VIP lounges fitted with luxurious lounge seating, custom billiards table, multiple large screen HD televisions, custom chandeliers, cerused oak paneling with silver leaf molding, and stately oak wood floors.
