Haute 100 Update: Ryan Seacrest to Produce Persian-American Reality Show for Bravo

Hollywood’s busiest man, Ryan Seacrest, is adding yet another project to his already brimming list by developing a new reality TV show with the Bravo network, of which he will be executive producer. Currently titled The Shahs of Sunset, the show will showcase the Persian-American community in Los Angelesand highlight some of its more vibrant characters. (Think Persian-American Jersey Shore.)

Seacrest explains, “The series will offer rich characters and relatable storylines about everyday life — love, work, friendship and family — steeped in a diverse culture, which is wildly entertaining and fun.”

Although things are still very much in the works and no production details are yet known, at least we know casting shouldn’t be a problem. Over 800,000 people of Persian ancestry live in Los Angeles since Iranians moved over in scores when the shah fell in 1979 – and they have achieved great success here. With lifestyles that allow for decked out sports cars and designer labels, there’s no shortage to the characters for the show.
