Haute 100 Update: Eva Longoria Takes on Directorial Role for True-Life ‘Reel Moments’ Short Film

Our recent cover girl, Eva Longoria, has signed on to step behind the camera in a directorial role for Glamour magazine’s Reel Moments project. Longoria will join actresses Olivia Wilde and Zoe Saldana as confirmed to take on the project of each directing a short film based on the real-life stories of the magazine’s readers.

The Reel Moments project began in 2005 and is being underwritten by Clarisonic, with actresses Gwyneth Paltrow and Jennifer Aniston already behind it. Longoria is a more recent participant and will bring her directorial skills into a moving short film based on a true story of one reader.

As the Desperate Housewives actress steps behind the scenes, she will bring to life the story of Alex, a 35-year-old woman who was challenged with the difficult decision of whether or not to undergo a double mastectomy. Longoria is currently undergoing a casting process (which includes enlisting the help of her fellow Hollywood actors) for her film and is said to begin shooting this month.
