Haute 100 Update: Alejandro Sanz to be a Judge on ‘La Voz’, a Mexican Adaptation of NBC’s ‘The Voice’
Latin Grammy Award-winning artist Alejandro Sanz has snagged a spot on the judging panel for La Voz, a Mexican adaptation of NBC’s reality singing competition show The Voice.
Like Christina Aguilera, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, and Blake Shelton of America’s The Voice, Sanz will join singer and actress Lucero, composer Aleks Syntek, and performer Espinoza Paz as the show’s judges and coaches.
Sanz was the last to be confirm his involvement with the show and arrived in Mexico City on Wednesday, August 10, to begin filming. Regarding his job on the show, which will air on the Televisa network, Sanz said he will “try to be as fair as possible” with his judging, but later joked that he intended to be an “annoying” judge.
Taping for La Voz is beginning this month with the show to air for the fall season.
