Happening Now: The 16th Annual International Ballet Festival of Miami

Each September, Miami gets an extra injection of culture and diversity in the form of dance. The annual International Ballet Festival of Miami (IBFM) brings in dancers from the most prestigious world-renowned ballet companies to entertain and amaze eager audiences.

IBFM founder and artistic director Pedro Pablo Peña has scheduled five performances at four theatres along with the presentation of awards such as the “A Life for Dance” Lifetime Achievement award. Other activities include a dance film series, workshops and master classes and a fine arts exhibit.

The festival is currently running until September 18. Please visit www.internationalballetfestival.org to access the calendar of events to find out the performances, classes, and exhibit schedule.
