Wyoming Ranch on the Market for $175 Million: Most Expensive Home to Date
by Mollie Lichy

The real-estate market reached its peak when the Jackson Land & Cattle Ranch was put on the market for $175 million, the most expensive home to date. The main house consists of a mere three bedrooms with an additional four-bedroom guest area. While the aesthetic of the ranch itself is extremely traditional, the value lays within 1,750 acres on which it sits. Rich green lands span the property as well as places for animal grazing, horseback riding, fishing ponds, and a 52-stall barn with a view of the Rocky Mountains. Designed by famed architect, Jonathan Foote, he incorporates his usual materials such as distressed wood, glass, and Montana Moss Rock. Richard Fields, CEO of Coastal Development will most likely rake in more than the initial asking price as the land is a true piece of natural beauty.
Nationally, the gap between first-time homebuyers and distressed property supply continues to climb, with the sale of distressed properties accounting for nearly half of the real estate market.
