Spring Street Natural Restaurant To Open An Upper West Side Outpost
by Jen Isaacman

After almost four decades, Spring Street Natural Restaurant will be joined by an Upper West Side outpost. The vegetarian-friendly eatery, serving up minimally processed, healthy cuisine at affordable prices, has become a neighborhood staple in the heart of SoHo. Spring Street Natural offers a wide range of choices from vegan entrees to sandwiches, salads, and meet and fish options.

Managed by Judah Zweiter, the UWS location is scheduled to open sometime this fall at 474–476 Columbus Avenue, former home to the brunch spot Columbus Bakery. The new restaurant, however, will not be a clone of the original. The venue will be about half the size of that of the downtown restaurant, and new items will be added to the menu alongside those that made Spring Street Natural a success.
