An innovation in the cycling world has come to Southhampton. Hardcore Cycling, using state of the art RealRyder-brand bikes, plans to blow the dime a dozen spin studios that cloud the area, out of the water. The unique bikes, which steer and lean, give the core of your body a more intense workout, and essentially, a more realistic cycling experience.

The classes are available in three levels, with “Hardcore 1” as the foundation for beginners. Transitioning to “Hardcore 2,” the studio’s website affirms, “If a lean body and tight abs are your goal, this ride is for you.” Guided through a series of obstacles, the muscles are tested using Hardcore’s CORE-Precision-Technology. And for the vigorous Hamptonite, “Hardcore 3” consists of a “45-minute non-stop, heart-thumping, CORE hardening, leg burning ride.”

The intensity doesn’t stop there.

Both levels 2 and 3 are followed by 15 minutes of prolonged CORE training techniques off the bike, so don’t give up after all that incessant rotation.

What’s more are the quality CORE Leaders at your side in every class. Lee Dugan has been a Certified Personal Trainer and a Group Fitness Instructor for the past 11 years, certified by the AFAA. Fellow Leader Rachel Green has been involved in spinning since 1997, and a strong advocate of the RealRyder bikes. Completing the family, Master CORE Leader Timothy Bruns has been an ardent cyclist for over 15 years, and has proved his love for cycling by partaking in over 20 AIDS rides across the country.
