Milos Estiatorio To Bring Mediterranean Flavor to South Beach

Once Au Pied de Cochon closed it’s doors, rumors began to fly about who the new tenant of 81 Washington Street would be. It turns out that the South of Fifth region will welcome yet another ethnic restaurant. Milos, a Mediterranean eatery only open in New York, Athens, Las Vegas and Montreal, will fill the space.

Milos prides itself on its always-fresh ingredients, from produce grown in organic farms to the best seafood caught by family-owned fishing companies in the Mediterranean and independent North American fisherman alike. Even the 100% goat’s milk yogurt comes from a family-owned goat farm near Montreal.

The Milos chefs keep the flavor of their fish pure by excluding heavy sauces and dressings, adding only lemon juice and olive oil to their fresh seafood dishes.

Amongst the multitude of fresh fish, the restaurant also serves lamb chops, steak, and a list of to-die-for desserts.

To get a taste of Milos before it opens, look for their extra virgin olive oil brand, “My Sister’s Olive Oil,” at fine food stores.
