Ivanka Trump Moves Jewelry Store Downtown
by Ashley Butler

Ivanka Trump has decided to sublet her flagship store on Madison Ave. to jeweler Aaron Basha. She will leave her 900 square foot Upper East Side location for a 3,100 square foot duplex in SoHo. Trump’s new address 109 Mercer St., between Spring and Prince Street, used to house the Alaska House folk art showcase and more recently was pop up store Duckie Brown by Florsheim.
“We feel downtown is more simpatico with the energy of the brand,” Trump said. “We will be able to have events there and work with some of our existing partners and clients.”
Along with the 1,800 square foot showroom, the space features a 1,300 square foot lower level with a full audio/ visual installation. Designer Phillip Lim, Chanel, Hugo Boss and Agent Provocateur are just a few of Trump’s new Luxury neighbors, so it’s no wonder the rent of this prime real estate is $395,000 a year.
Trump plans to close the Madison Ave. between 61st and 62nd location at the end of the month, and will reopen Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry in SoHo in the fall. Although Trump has created a full line of accessories including handbags and shoes, the store will focus primarily on the jewelry line.
Plans are in the works for an Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry Store to open in China, and she already has several locations throughout the Middle East.
Despite preparing for her first child who is due in the next week, Trump shows no signs of slowing down.
