Haute Fashion: Vane Opens New York City Concept Store

The theme of Vane’s new boutique, on 125 Rivington Street, in Manhattan’s Lower East Side, is based on the label’s latest collection: “Dark Forrest.” The boutique plays host to an eerie, woodsy cabin aesthetic (think Secret Window…) with floor-to-ceiling wilderness imagery on one wall, and a hodgepodge of objects, tools, and books scattered elsewhere.

Vane’s up-market selections are presented whimsically about the store space, enticing visitors to peruse the displays constructed from unique furniture, found items, custom military cases, and mixed-media display boxes and shelving. The building was gut-renovated, right down to the original brick walls and wood flooring— thus maintaining its original character and raw architectural features.

The Vane store will be open from 12pm to 10pm Thursday through Saturday, and 12pm to 8pm Sunday through Wednesday, in order to cater to the creative and vibrant beat of neighborhood. In addition to Vane’s exclusive apparel, jewelry, and footwear collections, there will be limited collaboration products and in-store only styles (including the ultra-hip VANE x Sebago shoe line).

The Vane merchandise will be complemented by a hand-selected assortment of vintage Rolex watches and vintage frames from Carrera, Cazal, Christian Dior, Ultra, and other luxe labels.
