Gearing Up for the Ferrari Owner’s Group Rally
by Jessica Hon

Everyone knows that Ferrari engines have a unique pitch. Many call it a scream. Well imagine 50 Ferrari throttles roaring into action; truly an Italian symphony for the enthusiast.
Ferrari Owner’s Group (FOG) organized an annual charitable rally where 50 cavallinos, ranging from the new 458 Italia, as well as a F430 Scuderia, 599 GTB Fiorano, 512TR, 328 GTS and a classic 250 GT California Spider will drive off from Ferrari of San Francisco and through the classic California highway #1 run for two days to arrive in Los Angeles.
The rally kicks off on September 23 with a send off party open to all tickets available here: http://www.fogrally.com/register/ and will showcase Ferraris of all models and years and provide enthusiasts several opportunities for up close and personal encounters with the cars and their drivers. The drive with take them through Santa Barbara where an overnight stop includes a fantastic cocktail party hosted at a palatial summer home.
There’s still a few spots left if you feel like taking a weekend jetset down to LA (the option to have your car shipped back up to the SF Bay area is arranged though the event). Each driver needs to raise $1,000 to participate and all proceeds will go to the Opportunity Impact, a local San Francisco charitable organization, which helps support and educate disadvantaged children. Nothing makes one feel better than listening to the gears shift in your Ferrari, seeing the California coastline and knowing it’s all for a good cause.
