East L.A. Meets Napa on Friday

This Friday, July 8, 2011, is East L.A. Meets Napa, a local wine tasting event that matches Northern California wineries with L.A.’s favorite restaurants. The event created to celebrate the richness of Mexican food and success of L.A. Latino-owned wineries will begin at 6:00pm at Union Station.

For $200 a ticket guests can sample hors d’oeuvres and wines at different booths throughout the Station. All proceeds from the event will benefit AltaMed, a company dedicated to providing affordable healthcare throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

It was announced that restaurateur, chef and Haute 100 lister Thomas Keller will be manning the stoves for the 2012 Auction Napa Valley. The 32nd annual charity wine auction May 31 through June 4 on the fairway at Meadowood Resort in Napa, Calif.
Providing animal lovers with a special event filled with wine tastings, special offers at 18 Napa Valley wineries and the chance to support Napa Humane, the inaugural “Pawsport Napa Valley” will take place March 23-26.
