Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas, A New Way to See Movies
by Ashley Butler

Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas offers patrons an entirely different movie-going experience.   To ensure the ultimate comfort, each seat is crafted of plush leather, reclines and has a footrest. Seats also have their own swivel table, and the armrests between chairs lift to create a loveseat.

“The movie business and large movie theater companies have lost the personalized touch, leaving a need for a premium movie theater experience,” explains Cinépolis’ managing director Carlos Wellman. “Most theater locations are rundown and dated. We want to change that practice and provide a boutique theatre experience that’s memorable, enjoyable and fun for families.”

Each theater is equipped with a full kitchen and bar. Along with standard movie theater goodies like popcorn, candy and soda, Cinépolis boasts a full menu.  Whether patrons crave gourmet finger foods and milkshakes, wraps and panninis, sushi and seafood or desserts, Cinépolis has it all.   Wine, spirits and beers can be enjoyed in the two 21+ screens.

The theater offers in-seat service where waiters take orders before the movie and each seat features a call button in case service is needed during the film.  Cinépolis’ goal is to “pamper customers in an intimate and comfortable envorionment.”

Tickets can be purchased online, at the lavish concierge/ box office area of the theater, or from the self-serve touchscreen machines where guests can preview the movie they plan on purchasing tickets for.

They currently have a theater in Del Mar, one in La Costa coming soon and plans are in the works to open a Laguna Niguel location next spring.
