Alexander McQueen Leaves Nearly $82,000 To His Pooches

The saying goes: “It’s a dog eat dog world.” This, of course depends on the owner.

Over a year after the tragic death of the acclaimed fashion designer Alexander McQueen, details of his will were released last Tuesday describing the divvying up of his fortune, which was estimated at $26 million. In the case of Alexander McQueen’s 3 dogs, Minter, Juice and Callum, they’re luxurious pooches, receiving a whopping near $82,000 to cover all of their expenses in their lifetime.

His love for animals extends past his dear companions, he also donated $164,000 to four charities, two of which are animal focused: The Terrence Higgins Trust, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, the London Buddhist Centre and animal welfare charity Blue Cross.

As for the rest of his fortune, it was distributed amongst his siblings, nephew, niece and household staff. The bulk of his estate was left to his personal charity, Sarabande, with the suggestion that some of money be used for scholarships at London’s Central St. Martin’s College of Art and Design.
