Every July, Miami opens its arms to fashionably welcome the most top-tier fashion extravaganza the city sees annually. A marriage between giants Mercedes-Benz and IMG, the week-long fashion takes place in step with Swim Show in Miami Beach’s Convention Center, arguably the biggest swimwear trade show in the country. With editors, buyers and celebrities the world over coming to experience what the new year will offer in the world of swimwear, the beach is buzzing and fashion is on everybody’s lips.
In traditional Mercedes-Benz fashion, this year will showcase one lucky Mercedes-Benz-Presents designer, which will be the highlighted label of the week. This year, the fashion gods shone their light on LUXE by Lisa Vogel.
Runway shows, personal designer appearances, special events, product giveaways and celebrity sightings punctuate Miami Swim Week, leaving us with the same taste of the traditional Mercedes-Benz and IMG fashion week experience that occurs biannually in New York City.
This year, the folks at Mercedes launch a new level of Miami Swim, aptly named Fashion Force. Modeled after police vehicles, these disguised Benz’s will offer rides to editors and VIP’s who need stylish transportation to the shows.
