Haute Event: Sig Zane goods ‘pop up’ at Waikiki Parc
by HauteLiving

Pop-up stores are, well, popping up everywhere — and now even in Hawaii.
The latest pop-up retailer to be showcased in this unique retail setting is Hilo-based contemporary aloha attire innovator Sig Zane, whose goods will be sold at “ITO: Interisland Travelwrights,” starting today through June 12 at the Waikiki Parc Hotel.
Then it will close up and disappear. Like all pop-up shops.
Put on by the two-year-old, Hawaii-based organization Interisland Terminal, which promotes culture and innovation through year-round exhibitions, this latest pop-up shop will feature travel goods and inspired art and fashion by Sig, Nalani and Kuha‘o Zane. These items are normally found only in its Hilo store or online.
But it’s not just a flash retail outlet. This event will also include an exhibit of installation art, lectures by the artists and the unveiling of the Zane’s limited-edition apparel design called Ponoholo.
“ITO: Interisland Travelwrights,” 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 2 to 12, Waikiki Parc Hotel, 2233 Helumoa Road, (808) 921-7272
