To celebrate a century and a half of unification, the Italian Trade Commission and the Ministry of Economic Development have teamed with Beverly Hills for a weeklong event highlighting Italy’s cinema, cuisine, couture and cycling – dubbed La Dolce Vita Beverly Hills, it’s a spectacular combination of everything that makes Italy a touchstone in so many aspects of life and fashion.

Celebrating the 150^th anniversary of Italy’s unification, a week of parties and events will highlight all of Italy’s design, dining and decadence. From wheels to movies, from food to fashion, there’s definitely something for everyone during La Dolce Vita.

Teaming with the Rodeo Drive Concours d’Elegance, Italian motorcars will be on display during “The Art of Italian Motoring” and jewelry will take center stage during a weeklong “Gioello Week” at some of Rodeo Drive’s most prestigious jewelers.

On June 24^th, the revered Italian studio Cinecitta Luce will premiere their film Nessuno mi puo Guidicare, which just earned three David di Donatello awards.

And to end the week, the first-ever Grand Fondo cycling event will kick off on Rodeo Drive, bringing a whole other type of Italian engineering to the celebration. More than 1,000 cyclists will take part in a ride that will span Beverly Hills and Malibu and include a post-race party held at the finish line, which just so happens to be a completely transformed 9900 Wilshire. Instead of the original Robinson’s May store, guests will be awed by the property’s complete transformation into an Italian village.

Throughout the week, eleven of Beverly Hill’s most beloved restaurants will be participating in Italian Week Dining. La Gondola, Il Pastaio, Oliverio at Avalon Beverly Hills and more will offer promotions, special prix fixe menus and more. From start to finish, there’s more than enough to transport you from Southern California to the Italian Riviera.
